Creating Healthy habits.

Diet, Exercise Stress!
The Body achieves what the mind Believes.
Why do we fail at take charge of our fitness and health? The stress this has on our mind and body is so damaging.
Key things come to mind self sabotage.
Let’s explore the emotions under why we get so excited and stat a new diet and exercise plan and quit before we see the results we dreamed of. We think exercise is a luxury item and is viewed as a selfish indulgence which should only been done when time is left over. Making ourselves and our health a priority is actually a gift to others as we have not only a healthier body but a healthy mind with which we can achieve so much more.
I’m just too tired! It’s a proven fact a healthy life style gives you more energy.
 
Let’s start by changing the words we use
Diet > healthy eating
Exercise > fitness
The words we use and the self talk can set a brain to fail as in the past. If the action plan is the same the brain will give the same results as the past when the going gets too hard. We use self sub targe language giving our selves permission to quit even before we begin and we are unaware of this.
“I have bought some new weights for new exercise program I’m going to tone up for summer or I could use them as a door stop. We say things like this as a joke but really we are giving ourselves permission to quit at any time.  Negative self sabotage talk. We also talk eternally to our selves. We can use cruel and unsporting language with our selves like I’m so fat, what am I thinking. The self belief can have damaging effects on the outcomes.
Think for a moment would we speak to our friends in this way? If we did we would not have many friends. So why is it ok to speak to ourselves in this manner?
Often we give our fitness and health completely over to others to decide what s best for us. When we are told this is what you need to do we are less likely to adopt changes. We be excited and make changes for a short period of time but then we fall off the wagon and resort back to what we know. This is because it has not been our idea and plan so when it gets to hard we quit. No one likes to be told what to do as it reminds us of being a child and we are powerful adults with our own journey to take. It takes up to 3 months to create a new habit.
Implement anchors to create permanent change can be.
1. Identifying seeing it. Past, Present and Future.
2. Creating routines first. This will take up to 4 weeks.
3. Only changing one item at a time from the fitness or health bracket.
Breaking it down into very small tasks and understanding the impact.
4. Owning it and committing.
5. Bench mark rewards.
6. Making a plan that is achievable and meaningful.
Identifying where we are now and saying and writing where we are and how we got to where we are and making a plan and using strategies that works and is not negotiable for 3>4 months. The planning process is
